It is reported that there are 581 special libraries and information centers in Indonesia, covering the following subjects: Science and Technology (104); Social Sciences (322); Humanities (86); Life Sciences (60); and others (9). They are located on Java (474), 225 of them in Jakarta, and outside Java (107).
