摘要

The progress report summarizes research conducted on unregulated diesel emissions methods by the Chemical Characterization Panel of the Coordinating Research Council's Diesel Composition Group over the past three years. Methods are recommended for the measurement of aldehydes/carbonyls, sulfates, particulate characterization, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), and nitrated PAH (NO2 PAH). Most of the methods proposed are the result of cooperative testing and are considered to be based on sound engineering practices.
