FIPS is an automated warehouse inventory system which will manage HUD's printed material at Headquarters, and is flexible enough that Regional Offices will be able to use a portion (Inventory Subsystem) or the entire FIPS System (Inventory and Requisition Subsystems) if desired. The system will assist the supply and distribution staff by reducing the time and effort needed to pull stock, fill orders, monitor usage, utilize storage space and replenish stock.
