摘要

Although heating of deep tissues by electromagnetic irradiation is commonly practised in physiotherapy, the spatial heat distribution in the different layers is not properly known. The purpose of the paper is to develop a first, simple model with which the electromagnetic field can be determined. From the field the authors can compute the heat dissipation in the tissues. The actual applicator consists of a coil of about three windings, through which an electrical current is flowing. In the paper, however, the authors present an analysis for the electromagnetic field of one circular loop applicator above a horizontally layered tissue.
