The Variable Definition File Editor is used to define labels and other characteristics of variables for use in the regression equations of the Lesson/Hierarchy files and/or in the Data Extraction Program. The content and validity of the Variable Definition File are crucial for the proper evaluation of the regression equations in the Adaptive Model and for the proper running of the Data Extraction Program. The manual describes the functions and procedures used in the Variable Definition File Editor, identifies the screen displays and defines all fields on the displays.
