Design Manual: Dewatering Municipal Wastewater Sludges

The manual presents up-to-date information on detwatering processes for municipal wastewater sludges. The design engineer can use this document to aid in the selection of an appropriate dewatering process for a particular application. The manual considers the upgrading of existing dewatering processes, as well as the designing of new ones, and pays particular attention to the needs of small facilities. Design parameters, performance capabilities, and design deficiencies for all dewatering processes are presented.
