The Office of Drinking Water, Environmental Protection Agency has prepared a Drinking Water Criteria Document on Chlordane/Heptachlor. The Criteria Document is an extensive review of the following topics: Physical chemical properties of Chlordane/Heptachlor; Toxicokinetics and human exposure to Chlordane/Heptachlor; Health effects of Chlordane/Heptachlor in humans and animals; Mechanisms of toxicological effects of Chlordane/Heptachlor; Quantification of toxicological effects of Chlordane/Heptachlor.
