Coupling Analysis of the Substructures with Different Symmetries

摘要

A new structural analysis method of coupling between the two different symmetric substructures subjected to arbitrary loads is presented. Based on the proposed concepts of symmetric nodal orbit and suborbit, the transformations of the combination displacements as well as stiffness coefficients for different symmetries are given. The method takes advantage of not only the symmetry of each substructure but also the symmetry contained after coupling. A series of numerical examples have been carried out.
