Effect of Moderate Speed on the Motion of Floating Bodies

The treatment of the free surface condition in the low Froude number wave resistance problem led to a careful consideration of the free surface condition in the ship motion problem. In the presentation it is shown how in the case of a ship with moderate forward speed, the ship motion can be dealt with.
