Proceedings of the GRI (Gas Research Institute) Gas Separations Workshop, Held at Boulder, Colorado, October 21-22, 1982

The Chemical Engineering Science Division of the National Bureau of Standards hosted the second GRI-sponsored workshop on gas separations at its Boulder Laboratories (Oct. 21-22, 1982). Workshop proceedings cover the design aspects of moving adsorbent bed units for continuous separation, potential of transition metal hydrides for H2 separation and storage, materials for O2 production, phase inversion as it affects distillation sieve trays, physical absorption of CO2 and sulfur gases from coal gasification as gleaned from pilot plant results, immobilized liquid membrane facilitated transport, modeling of facilitated transport in liquid membranes, membrane gas separation schemes, prediction of gas permeability coefficients of rubber polymer membranes, modeling of gas separation membrane processes based on glassy polymer membranes, behavior of the P-V-T surface as reflected in the isochoric inflection locus of quantum gas-normal fluid mixtures, and equilibrium and transport properties of fluids and fluid mixtures.
