Step Size Selection for A-Contractive One-Leg Collocation Methods

摘要

The paper deals with the numerical integration of stiff initial value problems. Coefficients of a two-parameter family of A-contractive one-leg collocation methods are derived and some requirements for stable formulas are investigated. Different step size strategies are presented and tested by a program built up for experiments of small dimensional stiff problems.
