Bees and Other Pollinating Insects Research: A Directory of USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and State Projects in CRIS (Current Research Information System)

The directory is a listing of ongoing and recently completed research projects on bees and other pollinating insects conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and State agricultural research system. Included are projects of the USDA research agencies, the State agricultural experiment stations and land-grant institutions, State forestry schools, and other cooperating State institutions. The projects were identified in December, 1986 and include research that was active as of October, 1984 and later. The source of all projects listed in the directory was the Current Research Information System (CRIS), USDA's computer-based documentation and reporting system for publicly supported agricultural and forestry research in the United States. CRIS is operated by the Cooperative State Research Service, USDA. Project abstracts appear in the directory in chapters based on selected areas of research within the general topic of bees and other pollinating insects. Projects relevant to more than one area are repeated in each of the applicable chapters. Three indexes are provided to facilitate access to the project abstracts by keyword, investigator, and performing institution.
