摘要

Tiling a plane means subdividing the plane into a number of smaller parts, called tiles, such that no space occurs between any of those tiles. Normally digital images are represented by square pixels, but cases occur where finer resolution is needed, such as in hierarchical structures. The report describes the solution for implementation of regular triangular, regular hexagonal, and semiregular tiling consisting of squares and triangles. It gives a brief explanation of underlying theory, presents ideas and specifications, and illustrates results. Two user manuals are included as appendices: Operator's Part and Programmer's Part. Program listings can be found in a separate report.
