Transmission Loss and Service Area Predictions in Hilly Woodland

摘要

A prediction model for basic transmission loss has been developed. The model is deterministic and uses a topographical data base for terrain height and vegetation information. It is intended for the frequency range 30 - 1000 MHz in rural wooded terrain. The prediction model has been compared with extensive measurements for more than ten years. It has also been used for service area predictions in mobile radio.
