Note on the Strengths and Weaknesses of Using the CPS (Current Population Survey) to Estimate Children's Health Insurance Coverage

The paper discusses the strengths and weaknesses of the Current Population Survey (CPS) relative to the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), the 1977 National Medical Care Expenditure Survey (NMCES), and the 1980 National Medical Care Utilization and Expenditure Survey (NMCUES), for the purpose of estimating the numbers of children with different types of health insurance.
