Prediction of Periodic Basal Area Increment for Young-Growth Mixed Confiers in the Sierra Nevada

Future basal area increment of individual trees of six mixed-conifer species in the Sierra Nevada can be predicted by the log-linear regression model described. Estimates of the model coefficients for California white fir, incense-cedar, ponderosa pine, sugar pine, Jeffrey pine, and Douglas-fir were obtained using least-squares linear regression.
