Assessment of the Status and Technical Assistance Needs of the EDA-Funded University Centers at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

摘要

The purpose of this study was to assess the status and technical assistance needs of the University Centers funded by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and located at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). EDA's University Center Program provides funding to assist institutions of higher learning economic and business development services in depressed areas. This study was designed to (1) provide recommendations for methods to increase the effectiveness of the HBCU Centers and (2) examine the potential for the continued operation of these HBCU Centers in the absence of EDA support.
