Research Needs Concerning Organotin Compounds Used in Antifouling Paints in Coastal Environments

The report delineates the legislative responsibilities of government agencies for research and monitoring with respect to tributyltin antifouling paint use. The current state of scientific knowledge of TBT in coastal waters as well as research needs are discussed. Detailed data give toxicity values for plants and organisms exposed to TBT. Specific data are given for Chesapeake Bay.
