Small Farmers in South Asia: Their Characteristics, Productivity, and Efficiency

摘要

Many households rely for their livelihood on farming small but viable holdings in South Asia. Raising the productivity of these households is thus a central part of any strategy to reduce rural poverty in South Asia. The paper identifies some opportunities for implementing such a strategy.
