Habitat Suitability Index Models: American Eider (Breeding)

A review and synthesis of existing information was used to develop a model for evaluating the potential suitability of habitat along the coast of Maine for breeding American eider (Somateria mollissima dresseri). The model is scaled to produce an index from 0 (unsuitable habitat) to 1.0 (optimal habitat).
