摘要

Super 9 Cr steel (Modified 9 Cr-1Mo steel), developed in the U.S.A., the specifications of which have recently been established with ASME, has the highest allowable tensile stress compared to conventional steel. Therefore, it will contribute to the improvement of flexibility by reducing the outside diameters of pipes and to increase yield strength by reducing thermal stress by decreasing wall thickness, when used for large diameter thick wall pipes. An investigation into the material properties of welded and bent pipes using a high frequency heating bender showed that this steel could be satisfactorily applied to a boiler superheater outlet and main steam piping when suitable fabrication procedures were selected.
