Effects of Phonological and Motoric Demands in Handwriting: Evidence for a Serial Organization of Parallel Processors

摘要

The study gives an outline of a processing model for handwriting as a psychomotor task. In the model, a serial architecture of processors is defended, because empirical evidence is in favor of the assumption. At the same time, however, the model accommodates the option of concurrent processing through the discrimination between the objects of information processing as contained in the consecutive steps within the processing hierarchy, and task output as produced in real time.
