The report describes a series of models and computer programs designed to analyze vehicle handling and driver/vehicle interaction in a variety of severe (collision avoidance) maneuvering scenarios. The volume contains user guides for linear analysis and nonlinear time domain simulation programs for analyzing vehicle and combined driver/vehicle handling and maneuvering performance. It also contains instructions for a part task simulator designed to demonstrate driver steering control behavior.
