Report on Cultural Resource Reconnaissance Surveys on Nineteen Waterfowl Production Areas in Kandiyohi, Stearns and Meeker Counties, Minnesota (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Litchfield Wetland Management District). Performed during July-September, 1986, and June, 1987

Project involved cultural resource reconnaissance surveys on the following waterfowl production areas (WPAs): Kandiyohi County; Stearns County; Meeker County. All 1986 investigations focused on specific, usually rather small areas scheduled for development: ditch-plugs with borrow areas, debris burials, road improvements etc. Survey procedures included surface reconnaissance and shovel-testing, all at 10 m intervals or less. A number of the project areas were in locations with little or no archaeological potential. The site seems to consist of a very thin lithic scatter, much disturbed by past cultivation and the construction of a road to the immediate north of the WPA.
