Fiscal 88 prospective payment pricing subroutine (PRICER 7.2) is furnished by the Health Care Financing Administration to process the payment of Medicare claims with discharges on or after April 1, 1988. Volume 1 and 2 contains the installation and operation guidelines necessary to install PRICER 7.2 in an IBM 370 environment. The installation requires that the receiver be familiar with COBOL/VS, OS JCL, and that the HCFA 'Grouper' modules have been previously installed. The installation tape contains the program source code and data files necessary to completely install PRICER version 7.2. Documentation of the PRICER 7.2 program modules, Volume II contains Appendix A through G. Appendix A - PPSMAIN (driver) source listing; Appendix B - PPSSUB source listing; Appendix C - listing of the DRGX file; Appendix D - listing of the MSAX file; Appendix E - listing of the test BILL file; Appendix F - listing of the test PROV file; Appendix G - listing of the expected test results.
