Nonintrusive Moisture Analyzer for Concrete

The study determined the feasibility of a nonintrusive method of measuring unbound water content in fresh and hardened concrete. The procedure entails positioning the probes against the sample and reading moisture content from a display. Researchers evaluated capacitance, microwave, and conductivity techniques, all of which entail measuring the dielectric behavior of the material under test. For each of these techniques, they constructed several prototypes and evaluated their performance.
