The research data base developed in the evaluation of the National Long Term Care Channeling Demonstration drew together a massive amount of data on sample members and their caregivers. Data from Medicare claims, Medicaid claims and provider records were combined to create a record of hospital and nursing home stays for each person in the analysis samples. The documentation describes the hospital and nursing home stay file, as well as detailed specifications necessary for reading the files.
