Services are now the largest and fastest growing sector of the U.S. economy and managing innovation in services has become a major challenge. The volume of case histories and industry analyses, devoted to the role of technology in services businesses, includes firsthand accounts of roadblocks encountered and successes achieved as new technologies are applied in services industries. The volume also addresses operations research in services, information technology in professional services, and important interfaces between services and manufacturing.
