The proceedings of the 49th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Committee on Problems of Drug Dependence, Inc., held at Philadelphia, PA, in June 1987 are presented. The monograph includes many brief reports and abstracts of ongoing preclinical and clinical research on abuse of drugs; also annual reports on NIDA-supported dependence liability testing of new compounds.
