The booklet helps clarify the 'Proposed Standards for the Disposal of Sewage Sludge' and reaffirms the Agency's policy of encouraging beneficial use of sewage sludge. It describes the February 6, 1989, Federal and State requirements that will goven sludge use and disposal practices until the new technical sludge regulations are promulgated in final form (February 19, 1993).
