Shoreline erosion is the gradual disappearance of land into a lake, to proeprty improvements are eventually threatened. Demands by property owners along Lake Erie that something be done inidicate that there is a felt need for better information. The objective is to estimate the benefits of erosion protection, which would serve as a basis for identifying efficiency gains in alternative courses of action.
