The publication was developed by EPA to help printing and allied industries implement pollution prevention programs. The booklet contains a brief introduction to pollution prevention, including what it is, how it can put money back into the company's pocket, what it's basic elements are, and where additional assistance is available. The booklet also provides a sample of the various technical options available to a wide range of printing and allied facilities. Typical economics such as capital investment, annual savings, and payback periods are also provided for many of the options. The technical and economic information in the booklet is intended to be more representative than comprehensive. The collection and organization of the type of information is ongoing.
