In the age of information explosion, seminars and symposia have an importance of their own, particularly in countries which are scientifically developing but are geographically remote from the active centers of learning. To reduce Pakistan's scientists' sense of isolation the Commission organizes meetings and conferences on different disciplines, to which national and international specialists in different fields are invited to share their experience with colleagues in Pakistan. In the Conference 30 papers were presented, most of them on design and development work in electronics.
