Discrete Variable Structural Optimization by the Complex Method

摘要

The report proposes the use of the complex method for discrete variable optimization problems of moderate size. The basic complex method and the required modifications for discrete variables are presented. Three examples of structural optimization problems are solved, to show the potential of the method.
