Job Analysis and Task-Ability Linkage Study of Federal Non-Pac Law Enforcement Occupations

As part of a test simplification program recently instituted by the Federal Government, a project was undertaken to simplify testing for Federal law enforcement occupations. The goal of the project was to develop a selection examination which would serve several law enforcement occupations, thereby reducing effort and cost in the selection procedure. At the same time, by conducting the project according to current legal and professional standards, efforts were directed toward developing an examining procedure which would conform to these standards and would select those individuals best suited for the job.
