Splitter fran Flygbomber. Spraengningar Med 250 KG MB M/50 och 500 KG MB M/56 (Fragments from Bombs. Tests with 250 KG GP-Bomb M/50 and 500 KG GP-Bomb M/56)

Experiments are performed with 250 kg GP-bomb m/50 and 500 kg GP-bomb m/56. Warhead data including fragment velocities, angular distribution of fragments and fragmentation data are presented for the 250 kg GP-bomb m/50. Results from the investigation concerning fragmentation show that earlier used data have underestimated the number of fragments from the 250 kg GP-bomb m/50. The effect of fragments from the bombs in steel plates (SIS 1312) with a thickness of 10 mm are presented. At a distance of 10 m between the bomb and the plates the 250 kg GP-bomb m/50 gives 10 penetrations per m(sup 2). The 500 kg GP-bomb m/56 gives 4.5 penetrations per m(sup 2).
