摘要

The objective of the work is to analyze the variation in height of the stiffness of a reinforced concrete shear wall coupled with a moment resisting frame under seismic action. The characterization of an 8 story typical building was made according to common building practice in Portugal; other buildings with different heights but similar characteristics were also analyzed in the study. Data obtained in Japan during pseudo-dynamic tests of an 8 story building model (at 1:1 scale) were used to compare the different analytical models available at LNEC to perform linear dynamic analysis, acting as the basis for the selection of the model ultimately used in the study. Results for different buildings are presented and the influence of shear wall discussed.
