Growth of Nitrogen-Fertilized and Thinned Quaking Aspen. (Populus tremuloides Michx)

摘要

The study analyzes the effect of thinning and nitrogen fertilization to Quaking Aspen (populus tremuloides Michx). Its objective is to determine if thinning and nitrogen fertilization can produce marketable material quickly. The study concluded that thinning, and to a lesser extent, nitrogen fertilization, accelerated both diameter and height growth of aspen crop trees.
