Guidelines for the Gas-Pressure Management of Decompression Sickness and Gas Embolism Occurring during Nitrox and Air Saturation-Excursion Diving

The technical report contains general guidelines for the gas-pressure management of embolism and decompression sickness cases that could be included in any detailed and comprehensive plan for dealing with diving-related accidents. These guidelines are to be used only as a guide and should not replace the valuable experience of responsible physicians. The procedures are designed to minimize treatment through use of a staged approach which permits hyperoxia and time to assist in resolving symptoms.
