摘要

A simulation program for heat and fluid flow in a water heat storage has been developed. The simplified 2D flow equations are solved numerically using the vorticity-stream function approach. The problem is characterized by strong coupling between momentum and temperature equations. Thus, special emphasis needs to be given to the speed of the solution algorithm to enable in practice the simulation of water heat storages with a reasonable throughput time. The general objective has been to develop a problem oriented simulation tool with much faster performance than the commercially available programs such as PHOENICS. The main application of the program is the visualization of flow fields.
