Canada Harmonized Tariff Schedule Numbers and Abbreviated Description of Articles Considered for U.S. Canada FTA (Free Trade Agreement) Accelerated Tariff Elimination

Section 201(b) of the United States-Canada Free-Trade Agreement Implementation Act of 1988 grants the President, subject to the consultation and layover requirements of section 103 of that Act, the authority to proclaim any accelerated schedule for duty elimination that may be agreed to by the United States and Canada under FTA Article 401(5). The notice is intended to inform the public of those articles that may be the subject of negotiations between the United States and Canada for accelerated tariff elimination.
