Britain and Sweden: Current Issues in Local Government

摘要

The collection consists of papers on the roles of local government in land use, housing and provision of public services in Britain and Sweden. The relations between local and central government are also discussed. The papers are all reports from ongoing research and they differ in scope and purpose. Some are more empirical and others more theoretical in character and they range from land use and physical planning to public provision of day care services and women's initiatives in local government.
