Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Real-Time Production Scheduling

摘要

The paper addresses the real-time production scheduling problem as a special case of a much larger class of real-time decision-making/control problems. The paper first reviews the definition of the scheduling problem, and then reviews an earlier algorithm proposed by the authors to address this problem. It then concentrates on the possible application of various AI techniques to many of the functions that make up that algorithm.
