摘要

Fast electron current drive by stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is studied in a magnetized plasma. Frequencies, wave numbers and Landau damping of the plasma waves created in SRS are examined at various plasma temperatures and densities. Pump wave intensities needed for an efficient conversion of the EM wave momentum to the momentum of the fast electrons are given. Use of the left/right circularly polarized pump waves and Raman forward/backward scattering are compared. A method for calculating the current drive efficiency is discussed.
