Effect of Eccentricities on Sandwich Plates under In-Plane Loads

摘要

A method is presented to assess the effect of eccentricities on the design of sandwich plates. The energy method is used to deduce the out of plane deflection, and the classical laminate theory is used to calculate the associated stresses. Some comments are given on the first results of the use of the method in an optimization program.
