Introduction to Montague Grammar

The Report is planned as a short course on some formal models of language proposed by Richard Montague. It concentrates on two logical models of language proposed by Montague in the late 1960s to explain some techniques used by him. These models are presented in the papers 'English as a Formal Language' and 'A Proper Treatment of Quantification'. They outline some means of generating a subset of English along with a semantics for this subset.
