摘要

The objective of the project was to develop a physically based methodology whichdetermines the fate andtransport of pollutants in agricultural drainage systems. The approach considered the dynamic interactions which prevail between the surface flow, sediment hydrodynamics and chemical adsorption/desorption processes of the various constituents. The USGS Distributed Routing Rainfall-Runoff Model was selected as the basis for the simulation effort of the project. A mathematical model of chemical movement by surface runoff was developed. An analytic solution of the model for a simple watershed illustrated the physical reasonableness of the model and then a finite difference technique parallelling that of the water routing scheme was incorporated.
