Socioeconomic Profile of Recreationists at Public Outdoor Recreation Sites inCoastal Areas: Volume 4

Outdoor recreation has been identified as the single largest category of benefitfrom the improvements in water quality. This report summarizes information collected during the winter and spring of 1989 through surveys conducted at four State parks, one National Park, and one National Seashore in Florida and Texas. Over 2,120 on-site (intercept) interviews were completed from December 1988 to March 1989 at the sites. An additional 943 mailback questionnaires were also completed.
