Implications of a 1% World Primary Energy Share on Solar Photovoltaics in 2020: New Opportunities to Synergize Energy, Environment, Industry, and Developing Country Policies

The paper describes a new approach for a long-term energy planning considering the effects of energy decisions on energy supply, environment, industries, and developing countries. The approach is introduced by analyzing the impacts on Finland of an expected 1% world market share for solar photovoltaics in the year 2020. The results indicate major commercial and energy opportunities for Finland.
