Supplements to the Monthly Vital Statistics Report present summary tabulations from final natality, mortality, marriage, and divorce statistics for 1986. Natality and mortality data are based on information from the standard certificates filed in all States and the District of Columbia. Marriage and divorce data are based on information from the marriage- and divorce-registration areas. These reports were originally published in 1988 and 1989. More detailed tabulations are published in Vital Statistics of the United States annual volumes.
